Ford F-150 vs. Toyota Tundra

Performance and Capability

The Ford F-150 offers six engine options to get the power, capabilities, or fuel economy you desire. Zanesville drivers who often pull campers, trailers, or cars will appreciate that the Ford F-150 can tow up to 13,500 pounds when properly equipped. The Toyota Tundra has a maximum tow rating of just 12,000 pounds.

The Ford F-150 is available in an off-road-oriented Raptor R trim with a supercharged 720-horsepower engine. The Toyota Tundra's brawniest engine only generates 437 horsepower.

If you frequently haul hay bales or construction supplies to Byesville, the Ford F-150 is your best bet. It can carry a payload of up to 2,445 pounds with the right configuration. The Toyota Tundra maxes out at 1,940 pounds of payload capacity.

Cab Styles and Passenger Space

The Ford F-150 is available in three cab styles to get the right amount of seating space for yourself, your family, or your work crew. F-150 SuperCrew models have 43.6 inches of rear legroom, so even taller passengers in Newcomerstown will have plenty of room to relax. Performance and Capability

If you'd prefer a midsize truck that's simpler to navigate through busy streets in Cambridge, OH, the Ford Ranger is a fantastic choice. It also has solid capability, with a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds  when properly equipped. The Toyota Tacoma can only tow up to 6,500 pounds.

If you commonly carry heavy equipment in the back of your truck, you'll appreciate that the Ford Ranger can haul a payload of up to 1,805 pounds. The heaviest weight that the Toyota Tacoma can carry is 1,700 pounds.

 

Interior and Technology

The Ford Ranger is available exclusively in a five-seat CrewCab configuration. Backseat riders in Zanesville will like its 34.6 inches of rear legroom. The Toyota Tacoma has XtraCab and Double Cab options that seat five people. However, even the larger Double Cab provides only 33.7 inches of rear legroom.

The Ford Ranger offers a Pro Trailer Backup Assist system that allows Zanesville drivers to reverse the truck with a trailer via a knob in the center console. The Toyota Tacoma's optional Trailer backup guide uses the backup camera and wireless trailer camera to assist maneuvering a trailer in reverse, but it doesn't have a knob-based steering system like the Ranger.
