Safety is a notable quality of many Ford vehicles, and the F-150 is no exception. The base model, which is the XL, has lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation and automatic high beams. The XLT adds more safety components including blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist and rear automatic braking. The King Ranch adds evasive steering avoidance and adaptive cruise control.
